An Energy Assistance Foundation Program

Thank you for your interest in the Warm Neighbors Cool Friends Program for Ameren Illinois customers experiencing financial hardship. Warm Neighbors Cool Friends energy bill assistance grants are for households who do not qualify for LIHEAP (low-income home energy assistance program) or other government programs. If you have received more than $500 from LIHEAP in 2026, your household will not qualify for our program.

During the cooling season (June 1st-September 30th) WNCF will match up to $500 of customer payments within 90 days.  If you have no payments in 90 days, you do NOT qualify.  You must have ACTIVE service.  To see if you qualify, we must have these 5 things:
